Check Out Our Kid's ProgramsChristmas time is full of cheer, fun, and great friends and family time! Have fun this year with a variety of Christmas activities for kids and adults.

If you are looking for some fun Christmas activities to do this holiday season, these ideas can create new Christmas traditions and help you enjoy the cold weather and have fun together!
Decorate a Gingerbread House
One of the best things about Christmas is all the fun treats we get to eat! But with a gingerbread house, you can flex your creative muscles and also eat lots of goodies! This easy gingerbread recipe will get you started, and then pick whichever fun candies and candy Christmas decorations your heart desires! There are also full gingerbread house kits if you need them!
Frost Some Christmas Cookies
If you want to be creative but don’t have the time for a full gingerbread house, decorating Christmas cookies is a holiday classic! Basic sugar cookies are elevated with frosting and fun cookie cutters! Eat these as a family or get into the giving spirit of the holiday and share them with your friends and neighbors!
Set Up a Hot Chocolate Bar
You’re going to need something to wash down all those cookies, so set up a fun hot chocolate bar with your extra candy! A hot chocolate bar lets everyone customize their hot chocolate to their liking. All you need is hot chocolate powder, hot water, and an assortment of toppings. We like whipped cream, marshmallows, and peppermint sticks!

Volunteer as a Family
Find a place to volunteer as a family to help remind you for the reason for the season. Soup kitchens, homeless shelters, or nursing homes need volunteers during the Christmas season, and the people you serve appreciate a friendly face during the holidays. Use this time to teach your kids about sacrifice, giving back, and serving others.
Pick a Christmas Tree
We all know the Christmas song “O Christmas Tree”! If your family sets up a Christmas tree, consider picking out your own live tree this year. Your family gets to pick out their favorite tree which is a bonus! Look for Christmas tree farms near you, or, if you have access to private land, you can chop one down!
Kid’s Programs for Your Family
Our family programs provide safe, engaging support for you in raising up your kids.
Wear (or Make) Ugly Sweaters
Ugly sweater parties have become more popular in the last several years, so you should be able to find plenty in the stores or thrift shops. If you can’t find ugly sweaters, try upscaling your existing sweaters and make a diy ugly sweater! Wear them to a party or go caroling!
Make Christmas Ornaments
Your Christmas tree should reflect your family! Make these super fun (and easy) Christmas ornaments that reflect your unique family. Take clear plastic Christmas ornaments and have your kids decorate them with paint, or fill them with things that define them (think Lego bricks, colored buttons, a special photograph, etc).
Put Together an Operation Christmas Child Box
Your kids might be really excited about Christmas morning, when they get to open their presents and play with their new toys and gadgets. But many children around the world won’t be celebrating the way you will. Teach your children about giving and support kids in other countries with Operation Christmas Child! Fill a shoebox with toys, games, and treats to send to those less fortunate than you.
Build a Snowman
Just like ole Frosty, a snowman can be a magical part of the Christmas season! Get your family outside by building a snowman in your yard that can welcome people into your home. If you don’t have snow outside yet, try this super cute snowman toy that you can build and melt over and over again.

Go Sledding or Ice Skating
Get outside this Christmas with sledding or ice skating! Bundle up in a warm coat and hat and enjoy the fun outdoor activities that you can only do during the winter. Check your local listings for good sledding hills and ice skating rinks.
Play Christmas Light Bingo
Take your family on a fun drive through your neighborhood and enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights. If you wanna turn your drive into a fun game, print out these Christmas light bingo boards to see who can find the most fun or interesting lights! Bonus points if you bring some hot chocolate along to keep warm!
Have a Cozy Movie Night
Nothing is better than a cozy night in with the family! Pick your favorite movie, put on your pjs, make some popcorn, and cuddle up under a warm blanket. Bonus points if you pick a Christmas themed movie (we love Elf and Klaus). Have a cozy family Christmas this Christmas Eve!
